Ingredients
  

Bread
  • 1 loaf day-old bread (cubed)
Bacon
  • 8 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
Cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Eggs
  • 8 large eggs
Milk
  • 2 cups whole milk
Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
Salt
  • to taste salt
Parsley
  • for garnish fresh parsley

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch dish and layer bread.
  2. Top with bacon and cheeses. Whisk eggs, milk, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour over layers, press down, cover, and refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight.
  4. Bake for 45-50 minutes until set and golden. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

Use day-old bread for best absorption. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
