Ingredients
  

Peaches
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix peaches, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch.
  3. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add melted butter and milk; stir until just combined.
  5. Spread peach mixture in a greased dish, top with batter.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and bubbly. Cool before serving.

Notes

For best results, use ripe peaches and serve warm with ice cream.
