Bananas
  • 3 pcs ripe bananas (mashed) about 1 ½ cups
Flour
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
Sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp baking soda
Eggs
  • 2 large large eggs
Butter
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Cream Cheese
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
Powdered Sugar
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
Salt
  • ½ tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan.
  2. Mix mashed bananas, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla in a bowl.
  3. Combine dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Mix dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined. Pour into prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool.
  6. Beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over cooled cake.

Notes

For best results, use ripe bananas and ensure cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
