Banana Bread Layer
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas about 2-3 bananas
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cheesecake Layer
  • 16 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Garnish
  • whipped cream and banana slices optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Mix mashed bananas, sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla. Spread into pan.
  3. Prepare cheesecake batter with cream cheese, sugar, eggs, vanilla, sour cream, cream, and cinnamon. Pour over banana layer.
  4. Bake for 50-60 minutes, then cool and chill for at least 4 hours.

Ensure the cheesecake is fully cooled before slicing for clean cuts.
