  • 1 package frozen hash browns thawed
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes optional for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix hash browns, sour cream, soup, cheese, onion, butter, salt, and pepper.
  3. Transfer to a greased 9x13 inch dish and top with crushed cornflakes if desired.
  4. Bake for 45-50 minutes until hot and golden.
  5. Let cool briefly before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, add more crushed cornflakes on top before baking.
