Method
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Arrange brioche cubes evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the brioche cubes, pressing down gently.
- Drizzle melted butter over the top.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Remove plastic wrap and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Top with desired toppings.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use challah bread instead of brioche. You can also add chocolate chips or nuts to the casserole before baking.
