Ingredients
  

Elbow Macaroni
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
Baked Beans
  • 1 can (15 oz) Bush's Best Baked Beans
Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Milk
  • 1 cup milk
Butter
  • 2 tablespoons butter
All-purpose Flour
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and Pepper
  • to taste Salt and pepper
Breadcvanilla extractbs (optional for topping)
  • 1/2 cup breadcvanilla extractbs (optional for topping)

Method
 

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, then drain.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in flour, and cook 1-2 minutes.
  3. Whisk in milk until thickened, then add garlic, onion, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in cheese until melted, then combine with macaroni and baked beans.
  5. Transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle optional topping, and bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
