Ingredients
  

Meat and Aromatics
  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
Canned Goods
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed 15 oz can
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed 15 oz can
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 15 oz can
  • 1 can tomato sauce 8 oz can
Spices and Seasonings
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
Optional toppings
  • shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions, tortilla chips for serving

Method
 

  1. Brown ground beef with chopped onions in a skillet until no longer pink. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Drain excess grease.
  2. Transfer meat mixture to Crockpot. Add beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and spices. Stir well.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours until thick and flavorful.
  4. Adjust seasonings if needed. Serve hot with toppings.
