  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • Everything bagel seasoning optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine cottage cheese and self-rising flour until a dough forms.
  3. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions.
  4. Roll each portion into a rope and form into a bagel shape.
  5. Brush each bagel with the beaten egg.
  6. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning, if desired.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a crispier bagel, bake on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. You can also add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup to the dough for a touch of sweetness.
