- Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Place half of the bread cubes in the prepared dish.
- Scatter the cream cheese cubes evenly over the bread.
- Top with the remaining bread cubes.
- Whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread and cream cheese.
- Gently press down on the bread to ensure it is soaked.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Remove the plastic wrap and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Drizzle with maple syrup after baking, if desired.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use a high-quality brioche bread. You can also add a streusel topping for extra sweetness and crunch.
