- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Mix flour, sugar, and salt for the crust. Cut in cold butter until coarse. Press into pan and bake 15 minutes.
- Toss diced apples with brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch. Spread over baked crust.
- Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon for topping. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly. Cool before slicing into bars.
Notes
For best results, let the casserole cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
