Method
- Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Cut or tear bread into cubes and place in a large bowl.
- Combine eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and orange juice in a separate bowl and whisk.
- Pour mixture over bread cubes and gently fold.
- Transfer to baking dish, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Prepare brown sugar cinnamon topping by combining melted butter, brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
- Spoon topping evenly over casserole and bake for 35-45 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
- Top with powdered sugar or maple syrup and enjoy!
Notes
For a richer flavor, use challah bread. You can also add berries or chocolate chips to the casserole before baking.
