Method
- Cube the Bread and Cream Cheese. Cut into bite-sized cubes.
- Layer It Up. Layer half the bread, cream cheese, and blueberries. Repeat.
- Make the Egg Mix. Whisk eggs, milk, cream, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
- Pour and Soak. Pour egg mix over layers. Press down gently. Cover and refrigerate.
- Chill Overnight. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
- Bake to Golden Perfection. Preheat to 350°F. Let sit at room temp 30 minutes, then bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes until golden.
- Cool and Serve. Let it cool slightly, then slice. Add powdered sugar or maple syrup.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use brioche bread instead of French bread.
