Ingredients
  

Pecans
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Melt butter in a 9x13 inch dish, then sprinkle brown sugar and pecans on top.
  2. Cream sugar and eggs, add vanilla. Mix flour, baking powder, salt; combine with wet ingredients, alternating with milk.
  3. Pour batter over pecans, bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.

Notes

Ensure the cake is slightly cooled before flipping to prevent breaking.
