- Heat oil and add garlic, ginger, Sichuan peppercorns, star anise, bay leaves, and cinnamon. Let fragrant for 5 minutes.
- Add chili flakes, sesame seeds, salt, and Msg. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before storing.
