Method
- Toast the sesame seeds until golden and set aside.
- Combine all spices and aromatics in a heatproof jar or bowl.
- Heat the rapeseed oil until just boiling, then pour over the spice mixture.
- Stir in the sesame oil, rice vinegar, sugar, salt, paprika, and toasted sesame seeds.
- Let the chili oil cool completely before storing in a jar.
