  • 2 pounds frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix hash browns, sour cream, chicken soup, cheese, butter, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Transfer to a greased 9x13 inch dish and spread evenly.
  4. Combine cornflakes and Parmesan, sprinkle over casserole.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce or chopped bacon on top before baking.
