Method
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter.
- Place brioche slices or cubes evenly in the dish.
- Whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), and salt.
- Pour custard over brioche, press lightly, cover, and refrigerate overnight or for at least 6 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 45-55 minutes, until golden brown and set.
- Cool, dust with powdered sugar, and serve with maple syrup, berries, whipped cream, and mint.
Notes
For an extra rich flavor, use challah bread instead of brioche.
