  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup protein powder (whey or plant-based)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (non-fat)
  • 1 egg white (for egg wash, optional) optional
  • Everything bagel seasoning (optional) optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine flour, protein powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add Greek yogurt and mix until a sticky dough forms.
  4. Knead dough on a floured surface until smooth.
  5. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions.
  6. Roll each portion into a rope and form into a bagel shape.
  7. Place bagels on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with seasoning (optional).
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a sweeter bagel, add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup to the dough.
