  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons chili seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 27 oz can chili beans (do not drain or rinse)
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Chopped onions
  • Sour cream
  • Jalapeños
  • Cilantro
  • Avocado

Method
 

  1. Sauté onion in oil for 2 minutes, add garlic and cook 2 more minutes.
  2. Add ground beef, cook until browned, drain excess grease if needed.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, chili seasoning, salt, red pepper; simmer 20 minutes.
  4. Add chili beans, stir, and simmer 10 minutes.
  5. Serve warm with toppings like cheese, onions, sour cream, jalapeños, cilantro, and avocado.
