  • 3 ripe bananas bananas mashed
  • 2 cups milk whole or 2%
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Mix mashed bananas, eggs, vanilla, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Stir in bread cubes and milk until well combined.
  4. Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake for 40 minutes until golden and set.
  6. Serve warm, optionally with whipped cream or ice cream.

Notes

Use slightly stale bread for best texture and flavor.
