  • 0.5 cup butter (softened)
Sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
Eggs
  • 2 beaten eggs
Flour
  • 1.5 cups flour
Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
Salt
  • 0.5 tsp. salt
Mashed Bananas
  • 1.5 cups mashed bananas (about 3)
Sour Cream
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
Vanilla
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
Chopped Walnuts (optional)
  • 1 cup walnuts (chopped (optional))

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs and mix well.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; combine with wet ingredients.
  4. Stir in bananas, sour cream, and vanilla. Fold in walnuts if using.
  5. Pour batter into pan and bake for 50-55 minutes. Cool before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, sprinkle with cinnamon or add chocolate chips.
