Ingredients
  

Sweet Potatoes
  • 4 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional) optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Boil sweet potatoes until tender, then mash.
  2. Mix mashed sweet potatoes with brown sugar, milk, melted butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Transfer to a greased baking dish and top with marshmallows and pecans.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes until marshmallows are golden brown.
  5. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of salt or a drizzle of honey before baking.
