  • 4 large sweet potatoes
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Peel, boil, and mash sweet potatoes.
  2. Mix mashed sweet potatoes with sugar, milk, melted butter, vanilla, eggs, and salt.
  3. Spread mixture in a greased baking dish and prepare pecan topping.
  4. Combine pecans, flour, sugar, and cinnamon; sprinkle over the casserole.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown, then cool slightly before serving.
