Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Peel, boil, and mash sweet potatoes.
- Mix mashed sweet potatoes with sugar, milk, melted butter, vanilla, eggs, and salt.
- Spread mixture in a greased baking dish and prepare pecan topping.
- Combine pecans, flour, sugar, and cinnamon; sprinkle over the casserole.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, toast the pecans before adding to the topping.
