- Cook ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat until browned, about 6-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Add olive oil to the same pot, sauté diced onions for 3-4 minutes, then add garlic and jalapeño, cooking for another minute.
- Return beef to the pot, stir in tomato paste, spices, and sugar. Pour in beef broth, beans, and tomatoes, then bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Serve warm with toppings.

For extra flavor, garnish with cheese, sour cream, cilantro, or green onions.
