  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Green food coloring to desired shade
  • 2 cups green chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Add green food coloring to desired shade.
  5. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Stir in the green chocolate chips.
  8. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  9. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  10. Let cool on baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature butter and don't overmix the dough.
